Church NEWS - for December 09 & January 10


The Peace of God: There will be Healing Prayers during Communion at our main services on Sunday 10th January (10.45am at St. Peter's) and 17th January (9.30am at St. Paul's). Anointing will now also be offered on these occasions. All are welcome.

Towards Confirmation 2010: We are gathering people together who are interested in preparing for (Baptism &) Confirmation in May 2010 at Inkberrow. If you'd like to explore the Christian faith, or be 'refreshed' in your relationship with God, come to the initial meeting: Wednesday 9th December, 8.15pm, in St. Peter's Hall, Inkberrow - or contact Nigel Seyler (01386 791440).

Carols Galore: come and sing for good causes!
Apart from our main services, there are some other special events for everyone who like to sing in this musical season...
  • Inkberrow First School will be holding a Carol Service in St. Peter's Church on Thursday 17th December at 9.30am;
  • Carol Singers are invited to the Red Hart on Sunday 20th December, from 7 to 9pm, to raise money for 'Crisis' (which supports homeless people);
  • Carols on the Green at Inkberrow on Christmas Eve, 6.30pm, with a collection to be shared between the Worcester Branch of the Multiple Sclerosis Society and the Disasters Emergency Committee (East Africa Appeal)


  • Celebrating with the Saints! - Here are two special occasions in which the whole parish is invitedto join together...
  • St. Nicholas' Patronal Festival - Sunday 6th December, 10.45am. Our preacher will be Rev'd Canon Robert Barlow, the Chaplain for Agriculture & Rural Life.
  • St. Paul's Patronal Festival - Sunday 24th January, 10.45am, with friends from Cookhill Baptist Church and guest preacher, the Rev'd David Knight, Chaplain at St. Richard's Hospice.


  • Informal Church - takes a break in December and returns on Sunday 17th January, 10.45am, at St. Peter's. It's a fresh approach to worship, in an informal atmosphere - for you to try out! Come as you are…!


    ALL GOD's Family!

    Creche Areas: for parents and children are open at St. Peter's and St. Paul's during all services. Activity sheets, based on the Gospel of the day are usually available.

    Noah's Ark is a short, informal service for babies and pre-school children, with their parents and carers, in St. Peter‘s Hall, Inkberrow, from 1.45pm until 3pm. Come and help us celebrate Easter and then learn more of Jesus’ stories! See Noahs Ark page for more information.

    PYG, our new Parish Youth Group, has now celebrated its 2nd birthday. It meets fortnightly on Saturday evenings, 7.30 - 9pm, in St. Peter's Hall - for games, discussion and prayer.     Junior Church - (Sunday School) meets on Sunday mornings in term-time, from 10.45am, in the St. Peter's Hall, Inkberrow, next to the Church. All children, from 3-4 to 12 years old, are welcome to come and share worship and learning together in God's family. .
